Charlotte

SSPA’s Dog’s Day Out program makes a difference in the lives of companion animals by ensuring they get plenty of exercise, attention, and exposure to environments outside of the shelter, all while putting smiles on the faces of the people who share this experience with them. • Animal ID#: A787447
  • Dog Name: Charlotte
  • Dog Sex: Female
  • Approximate Age: 7 years
  • Here’s what a volunteer had to say about Charlotte after a fun Dog Day Out:
“It was SO hard to give Charlotte back after our outing. Perfect on leash. Didn’t react to other dogs. Never pulled. Knows commands. Loves affection. Perfect size. Someone soon is going to find her and love this addition to the family 🥰  “
  • And another day out volunteer said: Charlotte is the loveliest! She followed me around like a duckling, is super cuddly and smothered me with kisses 💞 Also, she preferred to use a ramp to get in and out of the truck instead of being picked up.
  • And yet another rave review: Charlotte is an angel! She’s incredibly polite and sweet. She did great in my apartment, following my every footstep, she just loves being around people. She also is great on a leash. The majority of the time she follows along with no tension on the leash. She occasionally gets excited by squirrels but is easily redirected. We had a great day together!

The dogs are keeping us busy so we’re a little behind, please submit an application to our adoption counseling team for more information about Charlotte.

Meeting Dogs at the Shelter

The shelter’s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested in to a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment. For more information on meeting dogs at the shelter, please read this article.
